PATIENT DUTIES

The active participation in fulfilling certain duties is the foundation for fully enjoying one’s rights. Observing one’s duties diligently means showing respect for the social community and the healthcare services used by all citizens.

The patient must:

  • Adopt responsible behaviour at all times, with the willingness to collaborate with all staff at the Centre, with respect and understanding toward other patients.
  • Inform doctors and healthcare staff of anything that may be useful and necessary for better prevention, diagnosis, and care.
  • Show a relationship of trust and respect toward the Healthcare Personnel and the Administrative Staff; an essential condition for establishing a proper diagnostic plan.
  • Communicate promptly in case of cancellation of scheduled medical services, in order to avoid wasting time and resources.
  • Respect the premises, equipment, and furnishings within the Facility, considering them as a shared asset and, therefore, also one’s own.
  • Maintain self-respect and follow good practices that ensure the proper delivery of healthcare, by adopting good personal hygiene and wearing attire appropriate to the environment, respectful of oneself and others.
  • Avoid any behaviour that could disturb or inconvenience other patients.
  • Respect the smoking ban and the restrictions on mobile phone use within the premises, taking care of personal belongings without leaving them unattended.
